Whiskey River's Favorite Recipe for: Cowboy Butter
Ingredients
- 1 stick unsalted butter (8 tablespoons, softened)
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard (optional: Dijon)
- Juice from ½ a fresh lemon
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh chives
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
- 1 teaspoon paprika I love smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon cayenne
- 1 tablespoon of horseradish
- Salt and black pepper to taste
For Serving Sauce:
- Begin by melting the butter slowly in a pan.
- Carefully blend in the remaining ingredients until thoroughly mixed.
- Use it as a dipping sauce or drizzle it over your dish.
For Compound Butter:
- Combine all the ingredients in a small bowl, then transfer the mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap.
- Mold the butter mixture into a log shape, approximately 1 inch in diameter, and wrap it securely in plastic.
- Refrigerate until firm, then slice and serve it over grilled meats or vegetables.
